This braids house always meets my needs. Very professional n give the best styles. My daughter butterfly locs got a lot of compliments. Highly recommended.

I first entered this salon in 2022. After I booked for a 10am appointment with Mimi and arrived on time. She wasnt there. It was a Monday and I was told she doesnt work Mondays. Victoria promised to get my hair done after her present customer who she was busy with. After she finished with that person, she went onto another then to another. I was 8 months pregnant at this time and had been looking for a braider since we only just moved to Jersey City. Well, she ended up starting my hair at 4:30pm and was done at past 11pm with help. The hair was beautiful but the wait was rude and ridiculous. As a woman, to overlook my condition was really wild and selfless. I never visited again till 2024 January, for cornrows, which was done as a walk in. Luckily. Today I decided to get my hair done for a photoshoot. Prior to this time, I called to book appointment to no avail. I was told by Victoria that I should just walk in and get my hair done. Since the last time appointment did not workout I decided to listen to her and walk in. Huge mistake. I came in about 3pm and asked her if the style I wanted would be done by 9pm so I can get to pickup my 18months old from her babysitter. She said yes, she would give me two braiders to get the work done. I waited till to 6:30pm my hair hadnt been touched, with every hour I went to her to remind her I was waiting and I had time constraints. She kept reassuring me that it will be done. At past 7pm Maribel started with my hair, she later said the style cant be finished today cause she is good with cornrows but slow. So she suggested I changed my style if I wanted it done. I asked to reschedule for Sunday, she said she had clients and wont be able to. I had no choice but to ask for small medium knotless. And never got any discount for this. Victoria was still promising two braiders. No one came to help Maribel with my hair till I saw people leaving. I became upset at about 10pm, telling her it was not right that she kept my hopes up knowing she will do me dirty. She claimed right and defended her actions with it was out of her control, as she cannot control her workers. Maribel had to call her friend to come help, she arrived and helped finish the braids at 1:46am. Victoria herself left long ago. This attitude is very concerning and quite consistent with this salon. Worst part is they are not remorseful in anyone. Telling me if customer and the money is meant for you, it will come no matter what. Like what insolence. You know you care so much about the dollar but very proud and nasty. Very awful customer services. Honestly, you gotta do better Victoria. Everyone matters. And time is money. So respect peoples time.

No.. First of all we booked with someone else who did not even show up. The professional thing to do would have been to call the customer and let us know and give us the option to cancel or reschedule. But there money hungry so instead they had my daughters hair braided by Monique who is nice but cant braid. The braids are skinny, the boxes are huge and there not waist length which is what we paid for. Also they dont fall correctly. Just horrible. Bottom line, weve been to this shop in the past and have had great results from Mimi and Cecile; Victoria is good to but she cost extra. Its not fair to the customer to pay full price for a less skilled braided. And the insult of thinking we wont know the difference is really rude and arrogant. Victoria cares about money not customer or customer service. Im very disappointed with the outcome of her hair.
