I booked an appointment online for 6 pm February 29th. I showed up at 5:25 pm and the office was closed. When I called, someone from another country fielded my call. They said my appointment was the next week on March 7th at 4 pm, a time when I work. Apparently the office closed, they rescheduled without telling me or sending a text or email notification. So now I'm supposed to go during work hours that I didn't agree to or was informed about?

Early in the month I took my mom in knowing she had to have 2 extractions, along with a cleaning. She was given a long list of other things she needed that were part of the "package," not covered by insurance. The cleaning was not done. Two weeks later I took my dad for a cleaning. The doctor "diagnosed" him and sent the tech in to do polish. They did no plaque removal. When I mentioned this to the tech she stated, "she did see plaque and would let the doctor know." He came by in and took 3 minutes tops removing plaque. After seeing the work they do I do not trust them to do extractions on my mom. We will drive to the other side of town for professional dental work.

Hi there as we would like for all our patients to know, if it is your first time coming to our office, it will be a longer appointment as we need to get them established, a patient may come in for one thing, but after a full diagnosis Dr. can sometimes find more things that are concerning. The valuable thing about our office is we are able to offer medications, and treatments that are high end that are not offered at other offices, but thankfully we have the supply and demand to do so, that may mean that it won't be covered by insurance, but it all varies from patient to patient. As for the plaque removal, a polish will remove plaque if there is visible calculus the Dr. will scale the calculus as needed and the assistant will finish polishing. Fortunately in this case, your fathers oral hygiene is in good state due to the Dr. not having to spend more than 3 minutes on him according to his diagnosis. Here at Smilepoint appreciate all feedback as it will make us stronger as a team. Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to see you guys go and wish you the best!
