I am very satisfied with my recent experience using the MinuteClinic. Nurse Kim did a great job removing my stitches and helpfully agreed to take a picture (the wound was on my back) so I could see the result and send the picture to my family. The payment handling with my insurance was quick, low-hassle, and correct. Zero complaints.

Update February 22, 2024 They have added occasional security guards who watch the store rather than their phones. Today, the front of store staff answered questions to tell me where help to find things. They were busy having a quiet conversation, so they did not show me, but I found the items and checked out. Less bizarre than usual, today. Update November 27, 2023 Their rating is still one star. First, their pharmacy stopped answering the phone, then they stopped providing shopping carts because they did not secure the ones they had and those they had were stolen, and now they do not provide a way for a person to check out. There was nobody available at the checkout counter. There are two self-check machines. One had bags for items purchased and the other did not. The self-checkout with bags for purchases was out of order. The self-checkout that did work had people's sticky drink cups sitting on it and there were no bags for purchases. This store either has no clerks or the clerks they have are not doing their jobs to make sure that items are paid for not stolen. June 2023 Update I was at a self check out when another customer came in the store. The custoner was female and looked like she was wearing crumpled Peruvian or Ecuadoran clothes as if she had been wearing them in a long bus ride. A female CVS clerk who looked like she was about 19 years old and Native American hurried up to the woman from her position as cashier, stopped in front of the woman and told her, "You can't be in here." The woman mumbled something. She did not seem to speak English or may have not felt well. I am surprised that CVS is using cashiers as store guards since getting shot by shoplifters or their cartel bodyguards is a real possibilliy in Albuquerque. I am also surprised that the clerk did not call 911 or 311 to report a person in distress. This CVS is expanding its lack of compassion from not answering the pharmacy phone to meanness to those who enter. Why do I shop here? It is convenient and its constant silliness gives me info to use to update and support my very low Google rating. May 2023 Update: During my visit to CVS today, a manager and an employee (cashier) were having a loud knock down, dragout argument yelling at each other with contempt in their voices at the cash registers in the front of the store. The manager seemed to be the angriest making sudden jerky moves. It looked dangerous. I went to the back of the store to make my one purchase to avoid getting hurt by the manager and employee by the cash registers at the front. The employee fight, the pharmacy never answering the phone, and no shopping carts and no attempt to get some are why I do not recommend this CVS to anybody. 2021 review of CVS: Interesting day at the drive thru at this CVS. Since one lane was closed only for use as a COVID19 screening site, the drive thru has been variable. It is easier to get accurate information and help on the inside.
