Home River Group is awful - most property management companies are. But the property managers at HRG have been completely unresponsive for the last few months, and I was just notified on 5/31 that my rental was transferred to a new management company as of 5/31. So now I have to figure out how to pay my rent to the new company with zero heads up from HRG. The new management company informed me that the previous property managers at HRG apparently left (or stopped doing their jobs) months ago. If HRG would have notified me of this I would have been understanding, I understand that staffing jobs is hard right now. But ZERO communication until the day my lease was transferred to a new company shows how terrible this company is. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

Home River Group has neglected to turn on our swamp cooler for over a month. We have put multiple maintenance requests which have fallen on deaf ears. Request for call backs have been ignored. They clearly dont care about addressing renters needs. Avoid at all costs if you want to live in a livable house.

They are definitely a scam! I will request a refund for the application fee. I wish I read the reviews before even proceeding with the application process. They denied my application and advised of what my resident score was so I called TransUnion and they said they havent even released the information to them yet and its still undergoing the background check and the score hasnt even been released yet either. I reached out to Mariana via text and phone and now no response. Smh.

If I could rate a 0, I would. First of all I want to say that the owner of the property was amazing and I would definately rent from him again. My issue is with the property management company. My lease started off under Absolute Property Management with no issues and I had a great relationship with them. They kept me informed and cared about me and the owner. 2 years into my lease Home River Group took over the management of this property. The new property manager did not respond to me in a timely manner and when it was time for me to move out and perform my walk through, I had to call and follow up to set them date and time. I took 2 weeks off of work ensure that this house was in the best shape possible both inside and outside before moving out. I have now waited over 38 days and have yet to receive my deposit or an itemized letter showing charges from my deposit. I have made several calls to my local Home River Group office, the corporate office and have sent numerous emails to Home River Group with no action or response. I will never use or recommend Home River Group Property Management to anyone I know. The experience has been a frustrating and disappointing to say the least. I would hope that the corporate offices would understand that their local office is not up to standard.
