La Montanita Food Co-op - Nob Hill

One of the cashiers is clearly pressed that non members shop here. Normally I don't let my experience with one staff member sour me to a whole place, but this person has been rude every time I've had to interact with them. Its too small of a store to avoid them, so I'll just avoid the store.

Great selections and the staff was extremely helpful . I even got some of their premade to go and it was well made, tasty and fresh

Know what youre walking into. This place takes pride in the amount of local goods they carry which means youre going to pay more. But their local produce is some of the freshest and lasts the longest, its one of the few grocery stores where you can get local meat, cheese, bread, eggs, coffee, even some of their bulk goods are local. Their pre-made stuff is no-nonsense. I like the convenience, I like their compostable produce bags (personally verified), everyone is always very nice and I like the atmosphere. Its a bit pricier but well worth it for me.
