Southern Tier Connect

Very disappointed and upset. This is our first time going through everything and our care manager Nicole is not helping and avoiding my calls and texts. My daughter was suppose to go to summer program but Nicole didn't help with that like she was suppose to and I am now in the process of switching to a different agency for a different care manager. So stressful and hoping I can get someone I can rely on and who actually cares about our needs.

We have been working with the intake coordinator at Southern Tier Connect for several months now and are amazed at how wonderful Emily is. We were denied for OPWDD services for our son at the first step, we went to second step review and even to a fair hearing. Emily did absolutely everything she could to help us get approved, sorting through hundreds of records and spending countless hours on meetings and phone calls. After getting further evaluations we are ready to apply again and Emily has already been right on top of everything. During application process we went through an extremely difficult time with our son in the hospital for months, Emily went above and beyond to do everything she could to try and help out or son and us. Emily would call to check on us, spend hours of her own time researching what may be helpful for our son and shared in our frustration when we had set backs. Emily showed us that there truly are still good people.
