NYU Langone Medical Associates - Greenpoint

Though the staff are sweet and the nurses and doctors are gen, I have never waited less than than 30 minutes for my appointments. I'd show up on time, and wouldn't even see a nurse for 45 minutes to an hour, even on days that weren't busy. Today, my appointment was at 4:00 and it's now 5:25 and I am STILL WAITING just for blood work. Absolutely unacceptable.

I had a 6:45pm appointment today with Dr. Robert M Lerch as a first time patient. I confirmed the appointment in mychart & the texts I received earlier and filled out the pre-appointment questions in mychart. As I'm on the train headed to the appointment, 2 stops away, I receive a call from the practice. I couldn't pick up as I was underground. I received this call at 6:43pm. By the time I got off the train and to the practice, it was 6:50pm. The front desk stated the doctor had a family event and left. They tried to place the blame on me stating they tried to call me twice. When I told them they called me less then 10 min ago while I was on the train and why didn't they call earlier in the day, the staff looked at me with blank faces. They also kept asking me what my phone number is which I'm confused about....didn't you say you tried to call me? They also didn't leave a voicemail. They literally called me TWO MINUTES before my appointment to what? Cancel? As a health care practitioner, I am so appalled and disgusted with the blatant disregard of patients. I am also reading everyone else's review how they have to wait over an hour for their appointments. So patients have to wait for you for hours on end, but the prwctice couldn't wait 5 min for one of their patients? I wish there was an option to give 0 stars. I am now looking for an ENT provider from NYP or Mount Sinai.

Its unfortunate the dr was amazing however wait times for blood work x rays etc are unacceptable. Saddest part is we are here in need up help and end up leaving without being helped

No wonder this has horrible reviews, dr are overbooked ! Waiting time over 1.5 hours ! Why give out appointments if you cant accommodate patients ? Shame on @nyu
