No wonder that Passes Dental Care receives several prestigious awards for decades for its excellent patient service. Staff and dentist are amazing with their professionalism and friendliness-from Tanasia to Pamela and to Dr. Harvey Passes.

Ive been waiting to write this review for quite some time. I was a patient of Dr. Passes for almost 15 years.
He advertised himself as a dentist for phobic patients which is why I went to him in the beginning. Unfortunately, as time went on and he moved into his bigger office he seemed more about making a quick buck. Ive spent thousands of dollars on bridges, extractions, root canals and cleanings and had been a member of his in house dental plan for years.
After so many treatments and thousands upon thousands of dollars spent with him, he recently abandoned me when his latest expensive bridge failed and caused damage to healthy teeth which led to extractions and implants, stress, trauma and thousands more to fix his mistake.
Instead of being emphatic, ethical and professional, he took no responsibility for all the subsequent issues.
I was starting to get the sense that things were not right a while ago but did not listen to my intuition.
As an example to give you ,when he was making the first bridge that failed he made a temporary in the interim. Some of the teeth needed to be extracted, which, of course I was charged for. However, at one point when he was removing the temporary bridge, one of my teeth was so loose that it came out by itself when he took the bridge off. To my amazement, Dr. Passes charged me for an extraction! No kidding!
And when I recently got my dental records he actually notated that the tooth fell out by itself. He acknowledges this in his notes.
But that didnt stop him from charging me. No Shame.
Well, that shouldve been the first sign that something was amiss!!
But because of my severe phobia, I stuck with him, even though I felt he was taking advantage.
The next issue came when he was making me the temporary flipper Appliance until my new bridge was ready. He charged me more than double what anyone else would have charged and I had to go to the lab that made the device because he couldnt fit it himself.
He was supposedly going to make it up to me when he billed for my new dental restoration work but he decided it would be best if I went somewhere else because he didnt like that I went to an oral surgeon for my implants. It was so obvious that he had gotten all the money he was going to get out of me and so he decided I should have the restorations done with someone the oral surgeon works with.
In some ways,he has helped me get over my phobia. Ive met wonderful new much better qualified and equipped dentists and oral surgeons. Ive found out Dr. Passes has a - not so great reputation- among some of his peers. They have heard similar stories to mine over the years regarding his practice and way of doing business.
I stayed with him way too long out of fear. He used his position to take advantage of me and I paid a big price both emotionally, physically and financially. Buyer beware.
