        A Victorian style lighthouse built in 1877 that is managed by the United States Coast Guard . The lighthouse is actually still in use and is automated . There is no public access to the lighthouse, as if the writing of this review: unfortunately- Its best viewed by boat,,,theres a shipping channel nearby- the area has some navigational hazards, like rocks and shoals - so use charts/maps, etc to get a close view of you happen to be going by via boat. There is a lighthouse called the Hudson- Athens Lighthouse, which sits on the Hudson River- which is close to this one in architectural style-
