Weisman & Co., CPA's

It is an extremely bad experience with Lanny Weisman. I dont think his practice is ethical at all. He is not an honest CPA, he lied to me saying he finished his task asking me to pay him even he didnt. He charges me ( his customer) with whatever the way he wants. He changes his attitude to me once I paid him in full by yelling at me over the phone threatening me no additional payment, wont continue to work on my account . He knows if I hire other CPA I will spend more money. Once I gave him a bad but a true review, he called me for apology and begging to remove the google review. But after I did that, he continued the same behavior.

When I needed an accountant to handle my Mom's taxes which involved a trust, Lanny handled getting all the forms filled out on time with no worries. He was such a pleasure to work with. And when I had follow up questions he was immediately available to answer all my questions.

I've dealt with Lanny and the crew for over a decade at multiple companies I've worked for and really appreciate how they go above and beyond. They're a lot more then number crunchers and always have an explanation behind the answer for our questions. They really help make our day to day operations a lot smoother and we're grateful to have them on our side.

Worst CPA ever seen, a liar. I used him to do my accounting. Per the agreement he created, the payment is inside the range between $17,500.00 to 22,500.00. Three months later, he lied to me that he almost finished the work, so I wrote the third check (total up to$22,500.00), actually he just did a little bit. Then he asked for additional $20,000.00, otherwise, he wouldn't continue. He did not follow the contract, instead, he charges me by rate (he never mentioned to me that his rate is $300.00, his staff's rate is a little bit less than his). He charges me when I spent time to answer his question: he charges double of the time when he assigns work or gives his staff instruction. He still hasn't finished the task. The NYSSCPA is investigating this issue.
