Hi Dina,Thank you for taking the time to review our business. Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.While we agree with some points you raised, we'd like to provide clarification on others:Yes. We distributed menus to your building and our business hours are listed for 7 a.m.–5 p.m.Yes. We were not open at 7 a.m. due to a previous event the night before that ended late. As owners of the business, we decided to delay our opening. Due to the last-minute nature of our decision, we did not have time to publicly announce it and we apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused you and our guests.No. An online order was not placed. There is no record of any order being placed at any time before 8:51 a.m. No email exists confirming the placement of your order, nor notification on our POS terminal saying there was an order created.Yes. You did call and spoke with an owner. While you explained your frustration, we did apologize numerous times but it went unnoticed unfortunately due to your multiple interruptions. We tried explaining our delay of opening and you said you didn’t care. We tried to explain how our small team of employees works many long hours and their health/safety is paramount to us as employers. You told us that we should have gone into a different profession because we were not able to open on time. As we understand that you were upset due to not being open during our normal business hours we would appreciate if you had given us a chance to explain.In addition, a tenant brought to our attention that you were being very disrespectful towards them and one of our employees during your visit. This employee, who doesn’t understand or speak English very well, was trying to politely tell you we were not open at the moment. We spoke with our employee who confirmed this interaction and was very upset by it. We are very disheartened to hear about this ill-mannered behavior and would hope that you would treat people the way you want to be treated.On the issue regarding your coworker, Christine. Yes, a phone order was placed for delivery. It was Order #9001 and consisted of 1 Breakfast Tater Bowl @ $8.29, 1 Small Italian Wedding Soup @ $5.19, 1 Medium NYC Lights Dark Roast Coffee @ $2.50 for a Subtotal of $15.98; Delivery Fee: $6.99; Sales Tax: $1.98; Grand Total: $24.95. This total was given to Christine before finishing the phone order and confirmed again up delivery before payment was received. At no time did she question the total. Christine later called our business to discuss the receipt. She was confused why there was a delivery fee and surcharge fee on the receipt. We explained that is how our POS prints the receipt. We also stated there were not two separate fees and confirmed the math was correct with her which she then agreed with.We apologize that the fee was not mentioned over the phone. However, it is mentioned at the bottom of our menu. We had given the total price with delivery fee included. If she did not agree with the total, she could have canceled the order. Our menu was created with a focus on quality and value for our guests. In order to keep prices low, we separated the delivery fee and chose not to subsidize it with higher menu prices. We feel that a customer should not be paying for a service that they’re not using. Our delivery fee is based on round trip travel distance and time, payroll costs, insurance, and mileage reimbursement. This ensures our employees are properly compensated and business is properly covered.It's extremely unfortunate that your reaction to us not being open on time has come to this as we feel your 50+ coworkers are now missing out on as you said, our impressive menu and prices. Should you reconsider our business we would be happy to provide you and your coworkers with quality food and service. We are only human, not always perfect, but we always strive to give the best experience at our establishment.
