Sonder at One Platt

Clean but outdated. Shower water pressure is poor. Furniture is chipped and falling off. Loud like other people said, even on the 12th floor. Only thing going for it is the unit was relatively clean.

They cancelled my booking 2 hours before check-in (after a gruelling 26 hour flight into New York). This is after they sent a confirmation email. Offered no explanation as to why, basically said I'm out on my own. 0 Empathy, 0 transparency. After checking the reviews on here looks like I dodged a bullet. Sonder can go do one. Pathetic people. Those 4 stars are probably from bots or paid reviews.

We had a fantastic two week stay! The apartment was beautiful, clean and very spacious. The kitchen was well appointed with full fridge, gas hot plates, convection oven, dishwasher. This was great for us to cut down on the expense of not having to eat out all the time. The living room was also very roomy and comfortable. Unfortunately we werent able to hook up to any speaker as instructed on the app but I think theyve recently, or maybe are still changing their streaming service. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were huge. The staff were amazing, so friendly and willing to help. The building is in a great area downtown (if you like it a bit busier) with easy access to loads of things to do within walking distance, and easy to navigate public transport for exploring a bit further. Also, definitely go up to the rooftop at sunset!!

The room was large and the location was great, but I'd be hesitant to stay here again. The bathroom was dated. There was no working vent and one of the light bulbs was out. The shower didn't drain properly, even after maintenance supposedly fixed it. The bathroom sink also didn't drain properly. The rug in the room slid around every time you stepped on it. It was nice to have a kitchenette, but it wasn't the cleanest. Room decor felt like I was in someone's college dorm. The elevator light for the floor didn't work, so was difficult to tell if the elevator was broken or just slow.
