Dr. Ngozi Etufugh

SCAM! My simple annual teeth cleaning was charged to my insurance but was stopped 10 mins by Dr. Ngozi Etufugh so that she could set up a costly, elective and unwanted dental sealant treatment. Front desk staff were buttering me up to ensure that I made the dental sealant appointment, which made me feel like I was being pressured into a sale. As an black female patient, there are no words for the disappointment and frustration caused by the "service" provided by this black female medical professional.

Dr. Ngozi is very unprofessional and doesn't know how to treat her Patients she tells you one thing on the phone and when you get there she tells you something else. Don't go to her. I will definitely give her bad reviews.

Had extractions done..was sedated..felt nothing..good bedside manner I recommend for anyone afraid of dentist.

First, do no wasting-of-the-patient's-time. I made an appointment weeks in advance. I told the receptionist what I was going in for which was routine exam and cleaning, and I told her my insurance information. She assured me that there wouldnt be a problem. I double-checked the day before the appointment and again she said no problem. But when I arrived, there were two dentists there, and one (Dr. Marsh) refused to see me because he wouldnt work with my insurance, and the other (Dr. Etufugh) said she was ok with my insurance but she wouldnt do an exam or cleaning because she was a specialist, an oral surgeon, not an ordinary dentist. So after waiting weeks, double-checking with the office, and traveling to Central Park South, I was turned away. The brain-dead idiot receptionist seemed to think it was funny to waste patients time this way.
