It is in an excellent location. However, like the rest of the city, it just feels a bit dirty. The main entrance constantly has trash. The carpets are filthy in the elevators. The carpets in the rooms do not seem much cleaner. The bathroom (at least in the room I was staying at) did not have a vent. The furniture was all beat up and, again, the bathroom seemed to be the worst of it all. The handle of the door was loose, the counter was never fully cleaned, and there were details in the paint everywhere. I know it is New York and it is to be expected that places are going to be small compared to elsewhere, but this place felt like you could barely move around with three people and two double beds.
Again, the location was great and the staff super friendly, but it was hard to see past the other stuff.
Rooms: Very small and tight. Not the greatest. Definitely felt no more than a three star hotel.
Nearby activities: There is so much to do around! Take pictures, go on tours, get food, you name it!
Safety: I felt pretty safe both at the hotel and walking around the area.
Walkability: You can literally walk everywhere from the hotel or walk to the subway.
Food & drinks: So much to choose from. Within walking distance from Hell's Kitchen.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights just last week. This is the second time Ive been at this hotel and I dont recommend staying here anymore. As a travel agent Ive recommended this hotel to dozens of people in the past. Not anymore. The management and service leave a lot to be desired. Apart from the location there are better run and managed hotels.
-Housekeeping didnt clean our room properly it wasnt even clean upon check in. Stains on the wall and doors etc.
-AC doesnt work only blows air not cooling.
-Management is rude and pretentious. We had a delay due to our flights being cancelled and couldnt check in till 2 days later than expected. Had a refundable rate and tried to call the hotel for 2 hours straight on check in day to ask to change dates and inform of delay and no ok e answered!!! They dont answer their phones! Even guest relations apologized for their lack of care.
Management barely gave me one nights refund when asked for the 2nd night they said no. Even though the hotel isnt sold out and they easily couldve honoured it. Go to another hotel actually cares about its customers and goes the extra mile. Gold elite members but treated like cattle. Oh and Ive emailed them too. You think anyones going to email back? Save your money. There are plenty of hotels in the heart of Times Square with cleaner rooms and working heat/cooling systems and management that actually know how to run a hotel.
Ive even attached proof of IHG guest relations message to me saying they arent answering their phones and apologizing for it. As proof.
