BLACKBARN Restaurant

Really beautiful space, the service was strange when we first arrived.The server found us difficult to understand and it wasnt very easy trying to get what we needed to the table. In terms of food, over all it was quite good but the loaded tots were under cooked and cold, the cheese wasnt melted. It was not executed well. Salmon toast appetizer was really good and the OJ tasted nice and fresh.

I'm adding to my previous review from 4 years ago. I had the pleasure of visiting here 6 months ago and it was still as good as it was when I first visited. I'm glad they managed to survive that C-19 issue. Had Sunday brunch here just prior to departing NYC. Great vibe, good food had the chicken waffles which was recommended by the bar girl who was also very good. Ill make a point of coming here again.

This was my second time at Blackbarn and it was phenomenal! From the staff and service to the food, no detail was overlooked and I truly felt welcomed and at home. Our server made sure that we were happy with all of our appetizers (I highly recommend the Johnny Cakes and both the tuna and Wagyu tartare), and that our glasses were never empty of sparkling ros. The food was truly delicious - the steak in my sandwich was cooked just the way I like it - and I wish I had two stomachs so I could have eaten more! A great place to bring family, friends, a date - will definitely be back!
