The Hitchcock School

The Hitchcock School is a wonderful Nursery school! The amazing staff and teachers create a very positive and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step into the building all the way through to the classroom. The staff and teachers are very nurturing and foster a fun environment for our children to learn and meet new friends. My children love school and have so much fun with the planned activities as well as the extracurriculars that the school offers throughout the program. Overall, the school breeds a very special sense of community for our children and adults alike. We are beyond happy with the school!

Our children have had wonderful experiences at Hitchcock! The staff provides a very nurturing environment with lots of individual attention on each child. Weve been especially impressed with our sons experience in the 4s this year. He has made the sweetest friends, loves school, and is more than ready for Kindergarten!

The Hitchcock School has been a special place for our family for the last several years! The director and teachers are very warm and caring. My children are well taken care of and love their time in preschool. It is a hidden gem in the area.

My family has had the best experience at Hitchcock school. We have been a part of the toddler program (6 months to 24 months), the 2s, 3s, and 4s, as well as the summer camps.  We have one Hitchcock school graduate, now in Kindergarten, and one child currently at Hitchcock school.  We have loved absolutely everything about the school.  Hitchcock school has the best teachers and directors.  Everyone is so caring, nurturing, professional and very experienced.  The teachers really understand that every child is unique and give a lot of individual attention to every child.  Every teacher, as well as both directors, have amazing experience in being an educator, teaching at Hitchock, or being parents themselves.The playground is new, safe, and really a fantastic area for the kids to play.  My kids have played for hours after school hours on the playground with their friends.  The indoor gym is a huge, open, bright space for the kids to run around in.  The school brings out a variety of things to play with, including my kids favorites - bikes.  The classrooms all have lots of windows with great light, always very clean and organized, with a variety of educational toys. The 6 month to 24 month program is very unique and a wonderful opportunity that prepared my child for school at an earlier age, while having fun with friends.  The children who were in the toddler program are all ready to go when starting the 2s.  In the 2s, 3s, and 4s, the school does an incredible job at teaching.  We feel our Hitchcock school graduate is very prepared for Kindergarten, compared to his peers.  I am very grateful that they take the time and have great patience when teaching children.The school has a great weekly music program and my kids really enjoy learning many songs.  They also have fantastic weekly gymnastics class that my kids love.  There are also a lot of extra activies, such as woodworking, animals that are brought in or special shows. We have also really enjoyed the after school lunch bunch and extended day opportunities.  My child's favorite extended day program was science.From my experiences with other schools in the area, Hitchcock school is truly the best, and where we choose to send our children.
