Northside Village

I just moved in. I think it might've been union built & it shows. Very impressive especially for public housing! My only concerns are neighbor issues like litter & noise & management can be very last minute which is stressful, maintenance also doesn't always want to perform work I need which is frustrating. Overall though this is a beautiful complex close to the suburbs which is nice & I hope we can all work together to keep it beautiful & appreciate what we have. Update: After 3 months a family with 2 young children moved in above my unit. The other review wasn't kidding. I can hear EVERYTHING they are doing & the kid & lady are loud. It's like I'm living WITH them, vs below them. I've ordered noise canceling headphones & will discuss with the office but I'll have to be prepared to move once I save up. I was just starting to really like it here. Such a shame. So to put it more politely the complex is otherwise great in my experience, but suffers from inadequate soundproofing which takes it from 5 stars to 3. I'm unsure what I'm going to do from here about this as a tenant. For context, I've been a downstairs neighbor under kids elsewhere in Schenectady & it wasn't this loud. That issue being mentioned I'm very grateful to have been accepted here. Second update: I finally adjusted to the noise upstairs with the help of a white noise machine & noise canceling headphones but the antisocial behavior of a few problem tenants & their visitors is still an issue. I don't believe it's a complex wide problem it might just be my section. There's been repeated issues with litter, noise pollution, vandalism, frightening behavior & public fights. Our complex manager quit & has just been replaced by a huge burly guy. I think management is frightened of the nuisance tenants. I'm considering reporting these issues to various agencies; I had hesitated out of courtesy to my neighbors, but this is simply untenable.

Very nice low income apartments. All brand new and the layout/design of the apartments are spacious and modern and Immaculate. With the convenience of a washer and dryer hook up in all the partments
