Great experience! We toured with Christine (Chris) on Monday, applied same day, were approved on Tuesday and received the lease on Wednesday! Chris has been so welcoming and responsive. I know my daughter will be safe and happy at Electric City while attending The Paul Mitchell School.

We decided to downsize and move to Electric City this summer after a thorough search of the available rental communities in the Capital Region. We selected this location because of the proximity to so many downtown locations. Joe made the initial process of moving in and becoming acclimated to apartment living easy and welcoming. The apartment is clean, the neighbors are friendly and we love it here.

Current resident of three years. Apartments: very well-constructed. High-end finishes and appliances. Gourmet kitchens that include stainless steel appliances (range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave), granite countertops, contemporary cabinetry, and hard-surface flooring. Bathrooms with nice lighting fixtures, vanities, and oversized showers or bathtubs. The in-unit washers and dryers are very nice high end and efficient. High-speed internet and cable TV is included in rent and is very reliable. The private garage parking is great. Pet friendly with a pet relief area on the mezzanine (roof). Price: IMO, overpriced for Schenectady but somewhat affordable. YMMV Management: There have been a few changes since Ive been here, but everyone has been very responsive and professional. Community: everyone keeps to themselves. It kind of reminds me of a large hotel. No real issues. Occasional smell of cannabis in the hallways. Schenectady: I wish there was more variety and upscale dining options. After a month of exploring, I was pretty much tapped out of options. You wont find much here except in and around Proctors. This is no Saratoga, and you're paying Saratoga rent. EC has been a good place to reside. The market has made additional development and expansion next to impossible, so the empty retail space on the first floor continues to be an eye-sore. Makes for easy street parking for guests. Traffic on State St or Erie Blvd is incredibly loud nearly 24/7. It can be unbearable at times. Even with the excellent windows and insulation. If you view an apartment, I suggest doing it around rush hour to get the full experience. 4/5 stars because there's always room for improvement.
