SUNY Schenectady County Community College

I have nothing to give but PRAISE to SUNY Schenectady! (Disclaimer: I am likely to be biased because I work here) The faculty at the college, particularly in the School of Music, where I work, really care about students and their life success. The students are here to learn not only about their craft, but also important life lessons we hope each takes away with them when their time at SCCC is finished. As a graduate of the School of Music (2007), I saw first-hand how much my professors truly wanted me to succeed, not only in the program, but in life! SUNY Schenectady is a fabulous place to get an inexpensive, but full-quality education, which prepared me for transferring and obtaining my Bachelor's Degree while also helping develop a stronger work ethic which landed me a job here twelve years ago. Couldn't be happier!

SCC was the worst experience of my life and was a waste. I dropped out due to personal issues and the school was just not helpful (granted I was so confused on what I wanted to do and had no help to figure out what would be best for me) my counselor was HORRIBLE! I told her all my issues and she was absolutely rude I told her I was scared of my ex at the time and scared about not being able to feed my cats (I always managed to do it no matter what) and SHE TOLD ME TO GET RID OF MY CATS! WHAT KIND OF COUNSLOR SAYS THAT HONESTLEY THE WORST! I would give this place a 1 star but I did like SOME of the professors there. But overall don't waste your time.

Fabulous staff very helpful. I went there to meet my academic advisor, it is fast as I thought. Great experience
