Howard Hanna was the worst home selling and buying experience we ever had. We cannot and won't recommend Howard Hanna Real Estate Services to anyone again. Avoid them at all cost

I agree with others on this site who think this company and its agents are just a property mill. I have bought several homes and the experience with Howard Hanna, agent: William Hannon in the Schenectady area, was terrible, the worst.  I finally stopped working with the agent and refused to talk to him since I could not believe anything he said.  He did not provide appropriate comps, I had to go to an agent friend of mine to determine a fair bid, additionally he failed to included requirements in the contract!  He also tried not to have me attend the final walk through, saying those famous last words: "Trust me"!Run run run away, don't walk!!!

After my stepfather passed, my mom wanted to sell her house and move to California to be near me. I had William as the agent to make this happen. I dealt with him from Los Angeles while he worked his magic from Schenectady. There were things that had to be taken care of before the house could be sold and William treated us like family, above and beyond his job duties. He made sure everything was taken good care of and done correctly. Honest, professional, always available. I feel so blessed that we had him to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. I can't imagine anyone that could have been better. Thank you William for making such a difficult period of our lives so much better!

Their agent, Mary Kay Flanagan, managed to take three days to write up our offer and did it wrong numerous times, and then we lost the house to someone else. She got the county wrong, our name wrong, and then said she sent it via email for us to sign but we never got it. It was all a ploy to delay the sale to get a better deal. No customer service whatsoever,definitely shady, and probably illegal. I would NEVER use them.
