I was going here for almost 2 years, I stopped going a few months ago, heres my story: My second truck I had back in the beginning of 2022 had serious problems, I got recommended to go here, so I did since its near by, I explained them what was happening in details and for months they couldnt figure it out. When they would check it, instead of telling me whats causing my issue that ive been complaining about, they look into other minor parts that arent so important and start workin on it, and they would make it seem like it would fix my problem that I was complaining about, so when it obviously didnt work I took a break from them and went to a spot in amityville, it was a little far, but I think I saved alot of time, and I definitely saved alot of money compared to their timing chain replacement price, fast forward I got rid of that truck and got another truck, I took my 2nd truck to 5 mechanics, and only 3 of them admitted that they couldnt find out, the other 2 just leaded me on so they could get some money from me. during those times, Alex was my go to and the one I would talk to mostly. Anyways, I got my new truck now, I gave them another chance with a less complicated problem, yet they couldnt figure out certain things, like why my truck couldnt go above 55, I took my truck galarza in bellport/east patchogue, on the same road as AE, they figured multiple things out within minutes with accuracy. *so here was my last straw with them* My truck would make a loud screechin noise when I would start it sometimes, so I paid them to diagnose it and let me know whats going on so we could do business, so I give them my truck and they checked it. like 45 minutes later, a younger worker there comes to me tellin me its the starter so boom I proudly ready to get this work in so I let them work on it being happy that the problem is going to go away now. Soon as he finishes it I paid dam near 300, i thought it was worth it, I take my truck to get gas, and it does the screeching noise again as im gettin ready to leave startin the truck, I took my azz right back to the shop and told them it didnt work so they said theyll check it again next time they open, keep in mind this was friday when they was closing, I was just lucky enough to get the last couple mechanics their that was ready to leave, the younger dude who told me he was gnna check it in the first place said well fix and get it right this time and wont charge so that was a relief, anyways I had to wait till monday afternoon since it was a friday evening and theyre closed on the weekends, I get a call from them that monday, and they finally told me that it was the flexplate missing teeth the whole time (the starter was never the issue apparently) and they charged me 1220 and said that the starter might be damaged too (it wasnt because I only got the flexplate replaced after, the new starter didnt fail me ever since) also, they wasnt going to take out the price for the previous starter work that they wasted time and money working on. so they wasted my time and money on something I didnt need, and charged me for some more work and half of it wouldve been useless I took it to azion auto next door to confirm (bcuz im not trusting them after that) they didnt even charge me bcuz they actually wanted to help me find an issue especially after I told them what their neighbors just did to me. Rayshawn and the other guy (sorry I never got ya name, taller darker skinned toned guy) looked at it and confirmed it was the flexplate, they didnt have enough time to start work on it but the least he did was give me a quick oil change :) so I ended up taking it to Galarza and buying the part.550, sure beats a useless 1220. im never coming back here again, I shouldve been stopped but oh well, ya sometimes it takes a while to see if people have actual knowledge and integrity Here a pic of the old flexplate from my ford expedition for those interested.
