        If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I knew I went to the Jackson Hewitt on State Street in Watertown, NY for my 2022 tax return. 2022 was my very last year going to them! I paid over $500 to have my basic tax return dome. I had 1 W2 and no itemized deductions and becauseof their mistakes, i was shorted over $500 on my return!! Their motto is "Working Hard, for the Hard Working," yet they screw you over!! They hire people who have no idea what they are doing! They charge an insane amount of money to have these so called knowledgable "professionals" do your taxes, but these so called professionals DO NOT know what they are doing! Their tax advice cost me $500 and that was not including the $500 they charged me to complete them! These people are incompetent and should not be doing peoples taxes! They told me not to claim my daughter as she would have to pay in alot of money if I did!! Which was absolutely incorrect. I took my daughter to a place who were doing taxes for free and they checked mine over for me, after I told them what Jackson Hewitts "Professionals" had told me! And sure enough, Jackson Hewitts professionals were incorrect and because of it I lost $500. So much for the guarantee I had to pay for (and not by choice)! It didn't cover the $500 that Jackson Hewitt had cost me!! PLEASE BE SMART AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSE WHERE!! i can only imagine how many other tax returns they messed up!! My oldest daughter's taxes were done their last year as well (2022), and she was audited!! Went through the biggest mess to get her return!! Your company is trash!! I hope they go out of business!! They don't care about the customers!! Idk how they don't have any lawsuits!!

        I have used Jackson Hewitt for about the past 8 years now. When I first started using them it was $200 to file taxes, last year the charged me over $700.00. They actually called me this year to see if I would like to set up an appointment to file my taxes with them. When I advised them I wouldn't be using them again because of the high cost. The person on the phone (George) hung up on me. Very rude, very unprofessional, and they are taking advantage of people by charging so much.
