I recently had a root canal and crown done at the Apex office. I have a bit of "dental fear" and Dr. Leech and Marina did a great job of helping me feel at ease. Both procedures went very smoothly thanks to the kindness and professionalism I was shown. Kudos to Dr. Leach, Marina and the office staff who answered all my questions and made sure I received excellent care!

I really enjoyed my experience here. My hygienist, Maria, was SUPER professional in answering all of my questions and explaining after-care procedures. The doctors were cheerful, and I was greeted with a smile at the front desk. Ill be bringing my family back!

I don't like writing bad reviews but I want parents of young adults to know NOT to allow your child to go here alone. This isn't our normal office, we usually go to the Cary Park location where we've only had good experiences. I scheduled my young adult here to replace a fill-in because it was the only office with an opening. I made sure that she had enough to pay for the services they provided that day. Almost two weeks later a bill came. When my daughter called to ask about it, the lady she spoke with (I think her name was Emily) told her that she actually owed twice the bill amount that they had just emailed that day. My daughter is very young and quiet, she's new to handling medical bills and she doesn't understand how insurance works. I called back and spoke to Emily and although she was rude, she told me that they called to verify insurance amounts in advance. But she would never say why no one mentioned to my daughter that there would be additional costs. I called again and a nice lady transferred me to Allison, who was hostile from the time she connected with me. I guess Emily had already spoken to her. Well Allison tells me that they did an x-ray because my daughter's appointment was considered a limited visit, and that they ALWAYS do x-rays because she isn't a regular patient over there. She compared it to how it is at doctors offices, which is understandable. So they already knew in advance that an x-ray was required. Allison also said they needed to do the x-ray because my daughter had light pain while eating. Well her fill-in fell out just two days prior. She had a hole in her tooth. Of course shes in some pain. But either way, Allison was clear that although we're patients at the Cary Park location, they still needed to do x-rays as part of the services there because my daughters never been seen by that dentist. They knew this when we scheduled the appointment. However, Allison would never say why they didn't tell my daughter about the additional costs. She was happy to tell me that the insurance covers 80% of the x-ray but not why no one told her that at the visit, and why it wasnt included in what was paid that day since they had verified insurance for this limited visit in advance. Both she and Emily said that insurance was verified in advance, and we paid the amount requested on the day of service. I mentioned to Allison that I was going to write a review because I felt like my daughter was taken advantage of. She said 'okay', so here I am. She said I was threatening her with a review, I'm not sure why me sharing my experience has to be seen as a threat. If limited visits require x-rays, then this should have already been factored into what we paid at the visit. And then to double the bill when my daughter called is just ridiculous. I've never had anything like this happen before, and it's stressful because as parents, when our kids transition into adulthood we want them to handle these things on their own. But some businesses just can't be trusted. In the future, Ill let my daughter know to ask questions before getting anything done. Ask just in case. But since this is the first time ever, I dont anticipate this type of situation happening anywhere else.
