My dad was put in here for rehabilitation after he fell and broke his leg before he passed away and this place was HORRIBLE! The only reason he was placed here is because the Piedmont Health SeniorCare program he was in is the building around the corner from here and they placed him here because of the location convenience. The whole place smelled like feces half the time and most of the patients are just given drugs to numb their state of mind to the horrible reality they are living in. My dad was neglected a lot of the time because he would press his bedside room light for someone to come help him but the majority of the time it would take well over 30 minutes for someone to come and assist him in getting him water, turn him in bed to prevent bed sores or whatever the case may be and god forbid if a patient was choking and needed help and tried hitting the button and it took 30 minutes for a nurse to respond do you think they'd still be alive or dead in 30 minutes? The way they treat patients here is absolutely unacceptable and I complained about it but all the staff here is crooked including the "facility administrator" so my complaints fell on deaf ears. The people on the state level needs to come and really do an investigation on this place but honestly I don't believe that they would do anything either because there's a ton of people who's left bad reviews saying the same thing I'm saying now and they are still doing the same things now that they were doing years ago. Just do your loved one a favor and take care of them yourself if there's any possible way you can and if you can't then take them to Liberty Commons on the nice side of Burlington instead. I DON'T RECOMMEND this place at all.

My mom stayed at White Oak Manor for one weekend for respite care. She is disabled with multiple sclerosis and needs help with her physical needs. This place refused to take her to the bathroom the entire weekend she was there. They claimed they didn’t have the proper equipment to move her to the toilet. When I had my son drop Off the sling that they said they needed they then claimed they didn’t have the training to take her to the bathroom. They said they were going to use a bedpan with her she can’t use a bedpan and they never even attempted to use one. They left her in her wet pajamas till after 2 PM in the afternoon she’s usually up at 7:30 AM. My experience with this nursing home has confirmed my stance that I will never put my mom in a nursing home. After her weekend there I won’t even ever be using respite care again my mom.

I had a good experience overall at this facility. However, I was victim of two bad experiences prior to leaving. I was there for rehab on my right knee. The therapist were kind, caring, and committed people. My main therapist was Chris, who I was very impressed with. Facility was clean. The day I was leaving, I went in to say goodbye to everyone. To my surprise, this guy named Anthony told me he has had quite a few patients, but I was the loudest he has ever had! He said he could say what he wanted to, because I was leaving. In addition if I didn’t change, no one would want to work with me. If words could kill, I would never have been able to leave alive. However, I thank God that Anthony doesn’t determine my destiny. I wrote a grievance before I left. Some of my family tried to reach him but to no avail. They would like to know his reasoning for telling me that. I believe he is just a person with personal problems and thinks more highly of himself than he should. The other issue was with the kitchen. My breakfast was cold, so I had someone take me to the kitchen for lunch. I was cold and hungry. After waiting for a good 45 minutes, thinking I was going to be given a tray, the woman serving trays refused to give me one. I heard her ask another staff my name. I assumed they were preparing a tray for me. She just acted like I wasn’t even there until I asked her if they were preparing a tray for me. She told me no and said my tray was sent to the room. That was absolutely false, Practically in tears, I called my granddaughter in Charlotte, who had some food delivered to me. I pray no one else experiences what I experienced this day!
