Johnese is amazing at what she does! She done my 3 yr old daughters hair for the first time and we will definitely be back! My daughter was nervous at first but quickly calmed down thanks to Johnese! Thanks for being so good to my baby during her appointment and making her feel comfortable!

I was looking for a stylist that catered to children, specifically for my two daughters. I found Johnese and braidrulez on a FB friends page and Im so glad I stumbled across her..she is a Gem! Johnese has been great with my girls and their hair care. Shes very timely, personable, and I know the girls are in good hands with her, plus her work is bomb! She has lifetime customers in us!

Overall my daughter and I have had really great experience with Johnese! Her braiding is A1 and its really hard to find anyone in the area that can compete. I personally like that she only has the child in her room and I also like that she tries to give the child / parent the style that they want. From a stylist standpoint shes hands down one of the best. There are 2 areas where I can see improvement adding to her overall service and thats customer service. When Ive gone she never says hi and Ive never seen her smile or say welcome. She gets straight to business - which isnt a terrible thing but could def help when she is dealing with new parents. I got to know that its just the way she is and it was fine. The other thing is when we had one issue with my daughter getting bumps around her edges and reached out to inquire about products used so that we could pinpoint if it was a potential allergic reaction, she took defense at first but once she understood that we were simply trying to help our daughter, she did suggest products that we could use. Also, she shared that her scalp was already irritated when she came in - I couldnt figure out why she wouldnt let us know that first before deciding to braid her hair. Overall, not a huge deal but worth sharing for improvement in communication. She does braid tight so if your child has fine hair beware. We asked once if she could not braid as tight and she told us no she would not change her technique - which I fully respected. We just changed the kinds of styles we asked for to ones that were better suited for her technique on fine hair. Otherwise, weve got a gem RDU and I would highly recommend her services.

Johnese is AMAZING! Her work is AMAZING! My daughter is very tender headed but she loves Johnese and says she cant even feel it when shes combing it. Weve only been going to her for 2 months now but will definitely be regulars!
