Andrew was great to work with from the first conversation where he answered all types of questions I had to the follow up to ensure I was happy with the photos. What I loved most was the interaction with my daughter and how he worked to bring her visions to life.

Andrew Bowen is certainly a master of his craft. His attention to detail and creative talent turns out some beautiful photographs. His welcoming and kind demeanor also put my daughter at ease and made her feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident. We had a wonderful experience and plan to be back someday.

This was our second year returning to Andrew for audition photos and we did the half day package for my dancer to also do 4 creative shots. Andrew and my dancer made quick work of the audition shots and then the fun could begin. My dancer spent some time creating her wardrobe from Andrew's extensive costume closet and then worked through what poses she wanted to create. Besides being an amazing photographer who understands ballet and can give direction to achieve the correct technique, the best thing about Andrew is that he truly puts the dancer first. His priority is to get shots that the dancer loves and to support and encourage them. As parents, we can be opinionated and have our own vision for what we want, and we all know that can be overbearing at times. I appreciate that no matter what various opinions are being shared when we are trying to pick a shot, Andrew will always route the conversation back to the dancer's opinion to make sure they feel empowered to express what they like. This year, Andrew also encouraged my daughter to spend a little time attempting a pose that she wanted to try but was ready to omit because she wasn't sure she could pull it off. After working on it a bit, she did ultimately decide to go a different direction but with social media constantly offering up unrealistic comparisons, I loved that Andrew talked to my young dancer (age 11) about seeing the beauty and power in where you are as a dancer in that moment and appreciating the journey. His space is beautiful, comfortable and welcoming, with tons of space. He is patient and friendly and knowledgable. We never feel rushed. I would not take my dancer anywhere else for professional photography.
