I have been a business owner in Havelock since 2007. As a veteran and resident of Havelock I am very pleased to call this city home. This is a great place to raise a family and run a business. The city officials are amazing and the other residents are top-notch. Looking forward to the rest of our years here!

I will share details of my calling for a boycott of Havelock, NC. On 13 Oct. 2018, my wife and I went to the following business NightMare factory on Park lane in your town. We parked alongside the road in a normal fashion and there was no indicators that we were parking in a non-parking zone. When we came out our car had been towed by Freedom towing and recovery. The owner of that business said that the police told him to tow the cars which we were informed were 11 total. The church across the street from the Nightmare factory has a deacon that called the police to have our cars illegally towed. Then we contacted the police only to have them note that it was the deacon of that church that called it in and one of the officers we spoke with over the phone said she had no idea how this deacon had the power to do that. So my wife and I filed a police complaint, now I am having to spend $126.00 to take this individual and the church whose deacon called the towing service to small claims court in Craven county. Until someone fixes this and gets me my money back I am going to warn everyone I know about the shady practices of your town allowing anyone to call in to get peoples cars towed. This is a real nice way for a disabled veteran to be treated in a military town. Oh by the way by the time you read this review I will have been to the news media, I get my money back or your town gets a black eye and bad publicity.
