Quality Suites Convention Center

I always stay here when I am visiting Hickory, NC. Dave or it might be David, the manager is super personable. I always know when I walk in I can expect a smile and a warm welcome no matter who is behind the desk. They have a great breakfast with gravy, biscuits, eggs, bacon, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. The rooms are always clean and they have remodeled and the carpet is gone and the floors are now wood. I love that part. I love having a suite where I can sit on the couch instead of the bed all the time. Anytime I have a special request they always do their best to accommodate me. This is the only place I stay when in the Hickory area. They offer non-smoking and smoking rooms and all of their smoking rooms are on the ground floor. They are in a great location right off of Lenoir-Rhyne Blvd. Keep doing the great job you do here and the manager is Awesome.

I have stayed at many choice hotels and i am a choice rewards member but this stay at Hickory nc is the worst choice hotel i have ever seen.the list would be shorter if i told you what they actually scored well on. Nasty, unsafe and unhealthy situations exist at this hotel that need attention from choice management. also, the front desk at checkout were totally unprofessional and tried to get confrontational when i inquired on the $100.00 pet deposit i was told i had to pay at check in plus $25 pet fee. then they charged my card twice for the room. There are homeless people that roam the parking areas at Nite with some smoking their weed and whatever else. There were people in and out the rooms all nite as if its a party hotel instead a place for lodging on travel or business. terrible experience at this Hotel
