This place is a gem. Far enough away from the noise in a country setting with lots of trees but close enough to get in the city excitement as you want. Nice and clean too!

The owners have spent some time and resources updating a lovely older 2-story home. He is very attentive to details, cooked us a fantastic breakfast, and I was able to spend almost an hour just chatting with him about our respective work experiences and personal interests. The location is a little off the beaten path but that only adds to the quiet and secluded atmosphere you will experience at this B&B. The flora and fauna on property invite one to stroll around the spacious wooded property. Were from Fort Worth, TX, and spent the weekend here for a family event. We try to patronize local business and will definitely stay here next time we visit High Point.

If you're looking for a story-book kind of stay, this is your spot. I can imagine the joys of a couples or friends trip here, as well as a nice spot near the city for family to stay around the holidays. My trip was solo & work related, but I like to find places to stay where I can enjoy my time after hours when traveling. This spot had great reviews and was a mile from Oak Hollow Lake, so I booked the trip and loaded the kayak - man, am I glad I did! The owners make home cooked meals each morning (amazing), and were willing to work around my office hours so I could be at work on time. In the evening, I launched the kayak from the Oak Hollow Sailing Club boat launch. I was able to experience all of the joys of nature at the park nearby, as well as on the property. The home is surrounded by butterfly bushes and seating areas. The interior was clean, updated, and comfortable. Some old houses have loud creaks and outdated appliances - not the case here. While the home has all of it's original beauty and charm, the bathroom had been modernized and the water heater/pressure were fantastic. The room was equipped with a mini fridge, my own coffee maker, soaps, hair dryer, extra blankets/pillows.. anything I could have possibly needed. The house was easy to find, with signs directing where to go just down a quiet gravel road. I highly recommend this stay, it's unlike any place I've been. Rooms: Rooms had everything needed : Toiletries, extra blankets & pillows, updated bathroom, coffee maker, mini fridge, hair dryer, TV Nearby activities: Minutes away from High Point, Oak Hollow Lake, Parks, and golf course are just a mile away. Collection of brochures available in the foyer for additional activities, restaurants, and local businesses. Safety: Keyless entry to the main house with a code, owners live on the property (but not in the home) in case anything additional is needed, each individual room has it's own lock and key, lock box also provided in room for personal belongings. Noteworthy details: Beautiful gardens on the property, toiletries and luxury items provided (robes).
