Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jacksonville-Camp Lejeune Area, an IHG Hotel

This was, by far, the CLEANEST hotel I have ever stayed in. I've stayed in five star hotels in NYC that weren't as clean as this one. I looked for flaws in the bathroom because I'm a germaphobe, but found none. Impeccably clean! So was the room. The beds were perfectly comfortable, too. My grandkids and I didn't want to get up. Our favorite feature was the shower. It was a roomy stand-up shower with sliding glass doors. The water pressure and roominess made it soothing and comfortable to shower in, and it had a shower niche for leg shaving. My grandkids liked that and thought it was a narrow seat lol. We only had one issue. The remote was missing. We called and immediately someone brought us one. I hope the housekeeping staff will be commended for their hard work, the maintenance staff applauded for speedy response, and the reception staff for always greeting us with a smile. Oh, and the continental breakfast was just okay. The pancake machine wasn't working properly, so my grandkids were disappointed they couldn't push the button. My grandkids complained that the link sausage had too many crunchy things in it, but the eggs were okay. The attendant was a very nice young man who was eager and happy to assist everyone. Please commend him, too.

GREAT PLACE! Beautifully done. Good FULL breakfast Rooms: WONDERFUL! Nearby activities: Lots of places to eat and excellent shopping choices and locations. Very close to hotel Safety: NO problems or worries. Walkability: You can walk to eating places and anywhere.

Great hotel, highly recommend it! Stayed two nights, was then supposed to stay in another city over an hour away. My wife and I agreed it was worth it to travel the hour there and the hour back to stay two more nights in the Holiday Inn Express in Jacksonville, the staff was that great and the rooms and hotel were that fresh and clean!! Breakfast was great - especially the biscuits!! Staff like Darian, Annie, Monica and others made staying here a joy. You truly felt they cared about their guests! It reminded me of the way one is treated at a five star hotel, but more genuine. If I had to come up with something constructive, it would be that one of the bed frames was creeky, but the beds were so comfortable we didnt care. Also great location near highways and a bunch of good restaurants!! Rooms: So clean, fridge and microwaves. Comfortable and fresh. Food & drinks: Free breakfast was great, especially the biscuits. Included: Eggs, breakfast meat, biscuits, gravy, hot cinnamon rolls, pancake machine, bagels, toast, muffins, fruit, hot and cold cereal, juices, yogurts coffee.
