While yes, this is the only place I've had a pet cremated here, this is also the ONLY place that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I recently brought my old pit bull here, well she was already deceased, but anyway, Mr. Randy stayed a little after hours for me to get her there as I chose to drive over an hour to use their services over all others in 6 counties that I looked up. Everlasting Companions was CHEAPER than all the others (at least 5 others, not including vets as they just use the crematory anyway) & they DONATE 10% of that money (just $140 in my case with an 85lb dog) to the Lenoir county SPCA!! -That was the icing on the cake -& obviously in a good way. The actual building is the one behind what maps says. There is a human funeral home there & they are somehow related, but the little brick building with a garage behind that is where you take your pet. I unloaded onto a gurney type wheeled cart at the garage as she was pretty heavy & was in the bed of my truck. Mr. Randy said they've done almost any type of pet\animal except maybe a horse or bigger. He's done lizards, birds, pigs, goats, etc. With my dog I got a paw print ornament (& he said they even did a paw print with the bird), a wooden box with her name on it (& her cremanes inside in a bag), & a laminated certificate saying they did the service on x date, also with her name. It came in a little paw printed bag (that I also put her collar, brush, her nail that I found in my car, & a snippett of fur from her tail). They have other things you can purchase in addition such as metal urns & jewelry with a bit of their ashes added. I didn't do that, but I did add $10 to add to the 10% they DONATE to the SPCA. I hope this long review helps others during a difficult time with their beloved pet.
