This is the place Ive been looking for. The USA is filled with chain hotels on stroads that all look alike. Contrast that to any European walkable town that has locally owned hotels in good condition that actually have some personality. Thats this place. Incredibly well restored with great attention to detail. Love it. Rooms: The room was not large but it was very well restored and maintained. Very clean. New quiet HVAC. Walkability: As mentioned we really get annoyed with the typical lodging in the US. Always on some crappy strip with every chain restaurant and hotel known to man. Sorry to be a European fanboy but they really have the quality of life thing better. This place is in a walkable town with good functioning restaurants. The town needs more tenants but is safe and well maintained. New trees planted on the main streets. Cool museum. Food. Within walking distance.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Had issue that the lodges computer system charged me 3 times for a one night stay. Need to await manager action to get my money back. Room was for $112 plus another $112 for incidentals and I get that. Upon check out system charged me an additional $338 . And now just must wait for a manager to refund my amount, when the money goes to them immediately. Just unfair went the other amount was to be used for other reasons during my anniversary weekend. Disappointing to say the least.
