Goosehead Insurance - Luis Pinto and Sjur Madsgard

I am writting the President of Goosehead Insurance to complain about one of their agents who has ignored repeated phone calls, texts, etc for the past month on the status of our insurance application. We realize it was a very long shot procuring insurance after not having insurance for 45 days, but now it has been over 90 days without insurance, because of his lack of concern and customer service. Social media will "lite up" with this experience with Goosehead Insurance. Just tell us the "truth" vs. ignoring us completely-totally unacceptable. If I were president of Goosehead Insurance I would put this individual on 30 day probation with another instance such as this, immediate termination!

I am 24 years old and purchased my first primary residence in June 2022. Matthew Vlissides was my insurance agent for Goosehead. He helped get me a quote for approximately $4,000 for my homeowners insurance through Citizens. Everything went smoothly at first when he was securing my business. Fast forward to November I get a email from a customer service representative stating my policy had been cancelled. Upon inquiring there was an underwriting issue that came up in July due to a vine that was on my residence. It was Matt's responsibility and fiduciary duty as my agent to contact me and inform me of any issues with the policy so I can correct immediately. However, due to negligence and what I believe to be laziness/carelessness, I was never contacted via text, email, or cell phone. Every customer service rep we spoke to confirmed Matt never contacted me. I went uninsured for two hurricanes that hit Florida... Now that I was made aware of the issue my lender placed insurance on me for 1.5x the cost of the original policy. In addition, insurance providers won't insure me because I went uninsured for too long, and those who will insure me have double the premium that I was originally quoted. I involved Matt's managers who assured me they would help, but they are now ignoring all calls and emails I place to them. I do not recommend working with this firm.
