Oak Hill Fire Station 62-1

On Sat. April 1, 2023 the wind uprooted a tree which fell on power lines in front of my house, causing a fire to erupt. The fire was blazing ferociously before I saw it, fanned by the wind. I was asked to leave my residence as emergency crews arrived. Into the night this department with others in the area and Forest Service worked to save my house--all while my husband was on business travels! I am grateful for their effort and will be make a donation to the department in appreciation. Thank you!

I called Oak Hill Fire Station 62-1 to ask about the number of smoke/carbon monoxide detectors I should have in my home, as well as the best location for them. I expected that someone would tell me the regulations for smoke alarms over the phone. Instead, the EMT/fireman came to my house to show me the exactly quantity, style, and optimal placement for the detectors. He could not have been any more professional, helpful and informative. I totally appreciate his kind assistance!
