Mahon Furniture Repair

I had an antique spinning wheel and an antique clock. Fred Mahon did a wonderful job repairing both! And he explained what was wrong with them and what needed to be done. He picks up and delivers at no charge, and his price was so reasonable! Definitely a 5-star job! I highly recommend him!

My wife wanted floating shelves with power supply built in and hidden. We got several estimates to have them built, got an estimate on hidden power supply, and an estimate on finishing them in a specific way. To my dismay, after all the people I talked to I could not get anyone to put this in motion, then I couldn't get any phone calls back. I decided to do another type of shelf. Very unhappy with it. One day in the country club my friend told me to call Fred. I really didn't want to go through all the mess again. I called after seeing his reviews. Long story short Fred came to my house I told him what we wanted. Fred built the wall shelf, came up with an ingenious way to supply power without seeing any cords and done an incredible job on the custom finish. We now have a beautiful floating shelf to decorate for Christmas and hang our grandchildren's stockings. I am definitely going to get Fred to build another on for my mancave. My wife is so happy, which means I'm even happier. What a beautiful job!! Thank you so much Fred.

During a move my grandfather clock was badly damaged. It has been in my family for generations. Both glass panels were broken. The glass in both upper and lower doors are beveled. I called every furniture store trying to find a way to get the right shape and the correct bevel. The clock is from England. So no luck with new glass panels. During my quest to find glass a couple of repair people was mentioned. The second person o called was Mahon Furniture Repair Express. Fred was such a kind and so very polite. I knew I found the right person to fix the damaged wood. I did not talk to him about the three chains that were severely tangled in the clock mechanism or the glass panels as I knew this was going to take a specialist to fix each problem. So we only discussed the damaged wooden clock case. 2 weeks later Fred and two of his guys brought back my clock. The clock was repaired to perfection, and the mechanism was working perfectly. The last thing he brought in was the doors with the glass replaced!!! I could not thank Fred enough for the time and care he put into my family heirloom. Fred I just want to say they I have never been so impressed with any service person in my life. I'm so very appreciative. Thank you so very much . ❤️ Are you married? Lol Allison Greene

I move to Charlotte NC in November of 2020. This was my first major move as an employee of a large company. Due to the circumstances I prefer not to mention the moving company. The moving company damaged my furniture and the floor. I understand that mishaps happen. However I was disappointed after waiting several weeks for the moving company to send someone out correct the damages they created. After waiting for four weeks to be contacted I called the moving company to discover that they weren't going to send anyone to take care of their responsibility. I was told I had to find someone to give an estimated repair order. I wonder how many people are moved on a daily basis that find the moving company has no interest in the damages they have done to their customers property. I called several repair companies and decided on Mahon Furniture Repair Express. I was impressed with his knowledge and the fact that he spent time with me on the phone answering so many questions without giving me short answers. Fred and his helpers came out to pick up my table and returned it in perfect condition. The repair that was done totally surprised me. He also corrected my floor which I was so concerned about. Fred has a genuine care for his customers.

Fred came to my house to help me with some furniture that was damaged. His kindness and professionalism, prompted me to ask him does he build furniture. He told me he can build anything, but he doesn't have a lot of time and it would take a while. I was willing to wait. After a month of waiting he built and installed a built-in book case. I'm very happy with all he has done. I'm just a little upset that I didn't listen to him concerning the color. Now that it is in my house the color he suggested is much better than the color I wanted. To my surprise he changed the color and only charged a small fee. Thank you so much. I've had many different service people in my home over the years but very few of them carry themselves like a carrying professional.
