Shop Class

What a great place!

I'm taking a MIG welding class with Jon as the instructor. It's a great class with lots of individual instruction. An amazing bonus is that during the three weeks of class (3 hours each Thursday evening), I have access to the shop during normal opening hours. I'm going to be able to practice on my own!

Great place, my wife and I are enjoying our class. Neither one of us have welded before and now after a few short classes we are making what we call art. You get to come in in between classes and practice too. We won't learn to be professional welders but are learning a lot. We will be taking other classes soon, maybe you will see our stuff in the museum. (Ha)

An excellent & safe place where you can learn & make wood projects.

Excellent!! It was more than I expected. I enjoyed the "nickle" tour. Shop Class is located in an old brick warehouse. There is a office area and a small classroom with work areas. This is connected to a nice wood shop. Excellent! They have several nice pieces of equipment. There's a ban saw station, a sanding station a big table saw station, a nice wood lathe, a scroll saw and project assembly area. Everything is connected to a big dust collection system. There is also a metal shop area and welding area. The Shop layout was well thought out and has a nice flow to it.
