I will start off by saying that the people at the front desk, and the dental hygienists are so kind and nice. The only good thing about this place is those people. Dr. Bodah is a scammer!! I had been going here for a year and a half (3 visits) and he filled three cavities. My last and final time here, the dental hygienist mentioned I had some gum recession on two of my teeth and we can talk to Dr. Bodah about it. When he came in, he said he has hated the way his day started. A guy before me needed major work and now my cavity that was being watched had turned into a major cavity that needed to be filled. Obviously that made me feel terrible as I thought I was taking very good care of my teeth and didnt think Id have any issues. He tells me to get it filled and then said see you in 6 months. As he is leaving I said wait can I ask about my gum recession. He comes back in, looks at my scans and said oh yes you have a cross bite on the bottom teeth. He started speaking in medical jargon and told me I wouldnt understand. He told me we would have to shift my bottom teeth completely and it would require braces with bands for 15 months. I have inserted a picture of my teeth for reference to show how straight my teeth are. As a 25 year old, that was so confusing as I have never been told Id need braces ever in my past. He was cold and not empathetic in his delivery. When I saw the 7,000 dollars worth of braces Id need, I left the office sobbing. I decided to get a second opinion from a very reputable family dentistry. After my appointment, not only did I NOT have a cavity, she said I also have some of the straightest teeth shes ever seen and there would be no need for braces. She said my gum recession on my two teeth were very mild, while Dr. Bodah said it was severe and after my braces Id need a gum transplant from the roof of my mouth to fix my recession. Another costly procedure Dr. Bodah claimed was necessary. The second opinion said I had no cross bite and she was so sad to hear how I was treated by Dr. Bodah. BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE. My entire family got second opinions about our teeth. Dr. Bodah told my dad he would need two crowns and a root canal. Expensive treatment. The second opinion said none of that was needed and his teeth were healthy and in good shape. Again, my mom was told she would need expensive work by Dr. Bodah, and again, the second opinion said no, that was not true. He is ripping people off!!! He is claiming they need expensive work when they dont to deepen his pockets. Thank goodness I listened to my gut and got a second opinion. I hope everyone who is told they need work done by him gets a second opinion. Please anyone who has a bad experience with Dr. Bodah follow my lead in reporting him to the board of dentistry.
