Homewood Suites by Hilton Wilmington/Mayfaire, NC

The service was good and the front desk is very helpful. My issue is with the cockroach I found in the bathroom, that creeped me out and made me want to leave immediately. The funny thing is house keeping came earlier this morning and cleaned up, apparently good enough for a cockroach to come out.

The room was nice. Super clean. Maybe update the tv to smart tvs, so one can access things like Netflix. I think there could be some updates done to cancel out the noise on higher floors. I couldnt sleep much due to the noise coming from the top room, above me. The bar was a nice vibe as well the outside area with the fire going. I like it overall but definitely need to do something with the noise. Shopping center nearby within walking distance and also places to eat.

This is a nice place. The morning front desk staff are rude, but the night front desk staff is wonderful. Edna is the sweetest woman. The housekeepers don't speak English, so it's a bit hard to communicate. And they put blood-stained sheets on our bed. I notified Edna, and she took care of it right away. The pool and outdoor area are also very nice. Other than the daytime front desk staff and the housekeepers, I recommend this place. We stay in a lot of hotels because we travel for my husband's job. Rooms: Standard Nearby activities: There is a lot of restaurants and shopping just a walk away! The Mayfair area is actually very nice! Safety: It's a very safe area...just be careful is you need to cross the street people drive stupidly fast through the parking lot. Walkability: Great area to walk!
