Amanda, (and her amazing assistant Maria) is a rock through a tumultuous time, responds fast, and professionally helped me through a process that I was very unfamiliar with in a way that felt fully supportive of me, with moral and ethical values so you walk away feeling everyone was treated fairly. Amanda is a very compassionate woman, blessed to have had her support.

Amanda Mason is an amazingly talented attorney and a powerful force for justice! My contact with her began in November 2015. It was an unusual civil case. Two people I thought were close friends had asked me to invest in a trucking company in exchange for a monthly salary and health insurance. After taking all of my savings, one of them literally kissed my check then they both disappeared and moved out of North Carolina. They sent a few payments then claimed the company had gone bankrupt. After suggesting I get a job at Walmart if I needed more income they cut off all contact. My original request to Amanda was that she write a letter saying I had legal representation and that they needed to return my money. The letter was ignored and the case eventually went to trial. As it turned out, much of the money was actually being moved into personal accounts that had nothing to do with the trucking company. It was spent on lavish vacations and extensive cosmetic surgery. Amanda argued brilliantly and the judge ruled that I should get the money I invested back in triplicate (treble damages) because I had been the victim of unfair and deceptive trade practices. My case was appealed by the opposing attorney and the damages were reduced to the amount specified in the promissory note I had been given. It was a split decision based on complex issues of law. Other attorneys might have left it there but Amanda continued to fight for me, all the way up to the Supreme Court of North Carolina who agreed to hear the oral arguments in the case. We will have the final outcome within the next few months. Whatever the decision of the Supreme Court turns out to be I cannot recommend Amanda Mason highly enough, for her superb legal skill, for her integrity and, for her basic sense of justice and compassion! We are incredibly lucky to have her practicing law here in Wilmington North Carolina!
