Hilton Akron/Fairlawn

Ive been a Hilton diamond member for over a decade. There are great hotel experiences, bad hotel experiences, and then theres the Akron Fairlawn. Due to the location, I have stayed here numerous times over the years. Ive put up with the fact that it was aged. Ive put up with intermittent maintenance issues. Ive put up with lazy cleaning. Today though, it all hit at once and I would advise to anyone reading this, do not stay here. You deserve better. Plumbing doesnt work, hot water didnt work, curtains didnt fully close, dust and insufficient vacuuming around the entire room perimeter, view was literally laughable, and this is all after they put me in a room which wasnt cleaned. This was the second room they gave me. I lasted here about 3.5 hours, before getting so incredibly angry at this experience that I had to leave. Great job on this one, Hilton.

Thermostat did not work in our room, so thank goodness we stayed here in April. The shower tile floors were outdated, but the room/suite was fine overall. The hotel could use some updating in general, but it was a nice one night stay. Would not stay here for a long stay due to the lack of updated features.

My stay at this hotel from March 28th to April 1st was disappointing. While the staff were friendly, the cleanliness of the room was severely lacking. Upon check-in, we discovered the room was filthy, with evidence of infestation by ants throughout the suite. we brought this to the attention of the front desk, we were offered a move to a different suite, with promises of a manager who would contact us with a refund/ compensation offer. Unfortunately, no action was taken, and we were left with a substantial bill for dry cleaning and disinfecting our clothes due to the unsanitary conditions. It's disheartening that Hilton takes no responsibility for the inconvenience and additional expenses caused by their oversight.
