My mother was admitted for a UTI. She went into Septic Shock. Most of the staff were wonderful in ICU mostly. When she went to 10th floor step down her care was less so. She was released to a rehab facility, when the new facility did an assessment, they found a very severe bed sore. The staff on 10th floor was negligent in providing acceptable care. We are very disappointed and angry that none of the staff that we put our trust in, stepped up and provided appropriate care. Shame on you Mercy 10th floor staff, for not upholding your responsibilities to your patients.

Worst hospital experience I've ever had. Yesterday I got to the emergency room at 12:30pm for having extreme stomach pain and not being able to eat. It took 8 hours to do some testing and a ct scan! People that got there at 10:30am started walking out because the emergency room kept them in the main lobby and wouldn't help them. The lady at the front desk refuses to tell people how long the wait is going to be!! I warned someone that was walking into the lobby that I had waited all day so that they could go to a better hospital and she was greatful that I said something. After I got extremely angry at the desk and made a huge scene they finally decided to help me!! I payed thousands of dollars because I wanted to speak to a doctor but they gave me a 2 nurse practitioner's that didn't prescribe me antibiotics or pain medication!! I explained to the first nurse practitioner that I was having gallbladder pain on my right side and she told me that the gallbladder is on the left side which isn't true!! What kind of hospital hires a nurse practitioner that doesn't know where the gallbladder is!!!? How is a nurse practitioner like that supposed to help anyone! She had a horrible attitude on top of it. The hospital looks old and rundown compared to other hospitals that I've been to. Overall it's the worst hospital experience of my life and I highly recommend that you get help somewhere else. If this hospital was trying to help people they would warn people coming into the emergency room that it's going to be an 8 hour wait!! People come to the emergency room because of serious issues so the fact that they line people up for 8 hours is evil beyond imagination and proof that their only goal is to make as much money as humanly possible. Whoever runs this hospital should be ashamed of themselves!!! There's no way that I would be able to sleep at night if I was running a hospital like this!! This happened on a Wednesday so it wasn't even a weekend so I imagine people wait 12 hours or more on the weekends!! It was horrible beyond imagination and if you're reading this please go to a different hospital. Everything that said in this review is the truth. I honestly hope that people read this because I don't want anyone to go through the same experience.

If I could give them one star I would. Ive been in this institution twice in the past year and both times it was horrific. At least the first time, I was in a private room. This time I had a roommate who was almost completely deaf and refused to put in her hearing aids. Her TV was at maximum volume 24/7. When I asked the nurse to have her turn it down, I was told it was her patient right to have it as loud as she wanted. What about MY patient rights? Apparently, not as important, I guess!?

so thankful to Mercy for actually taking us seriously after waiting at aultman for over an hour while my boyfriend could not breathe. aultman said "he's fine" so we came here to Mercy and were immediately taken back and found out he was absolutely NOT "fine" he has a torn esophagus and air behind his trachea. Dr. Thomas has been very kind and helpful.

The staff was all very nice but the service was terrible. For 6 hours I was denied something to drink and no one would tell me why. Then they told me after one test I could have some water but then told me no. They messed up my blood sample twice and took 6 vials of blood from me and wouldnt give me any juice no matter how dizzy I told them I felt. If you hit the nurse button good luck getting one to come before 20 minutes has passed. I was hooked up to an iv attached to the bed so I couldnt go to the bathroom when I wanted to. I was wailing in pain repeatedly hitting the nurse/ toilet button having to relieve myself and I couldnt. I was tempted to rip my iv from my arm to go to the bathroom that was RIGHT across from my room. They kept forgetting to hook me back up to everything and after I told the main nurse she also didnt hook me back up to my iv. No water and no hydration from the iv. 6 hours and my urine was brown. Personally I will not be coming back here.
