Park looked desolate and sad. I went here as a teen for their hot air balloon event and had a blast. Today i went for about an hour and left out of boredom. Waste of 50 dollars

I was near the rope that separated the deep end of the pool and a 8 or 9 yr old kid was trying to get a ball and he started to go under the water and was struggling, I immediately grabbed him and pulled him towards the side of the pool,it happened so quickly ,he said Thank you, I was glad I was able to help him.

Good place to be in during pre independence day events. Only parking fees paid. Rest entertainment for kids were free.

We attended the Balloon Glow with our 3 year old after previously attending 6 years ago and having a great time. This year, the experience was decidedly different. The park has decended into a state of disrepair that was overwhelming. Additionally, park management closed off a number of public areas (including the ability to walk past Moonlight Gardens and the former game area) and peppered the grounds with inflatables and liquor-serving temporary concessions. The balloon area was crowded between "festival" rides and was ill defined and hard to find. The resulting event felt cheap and quickly decended into chaos. Patrons were playing in fountains, smoking marijuana in the parking lot, and generally poorly behaved. Additionally, we encountered at least five groups of people who, like us, were confused and disappointed. Staff were undertrained, appearing overwhelmed (barking threats of ejection from the park for patrons who took too long on paddle boats)- and sometimes downright rude. The fireworks were beautiful and the event had potential- however, the event, like the park, felt like a sad shell of better days. We will not be returning to the park- for an event or otherwise- after this experience.
