My wife and I went to the new location for ICA. It is called the Pivot building, formally the Astrup Awning Company. ICA is located on the second floor via an elevator. We met with Jane Hammond who is the textile expert. We took an old pair of bell bottom Levi jeans that my sister had repaired for me back in the 1970's. The jeans are covered in patches of different materials. The pants have been in storage for decades and we wanted to know if the pants needed to be cleaned. We were told they are in very good condition and only need some minor repairs to stabilize them. Jane Hammond recommended a local framing company to help us figure out how to display the jeans. We plan to donate or loan out to a quilt museum in San Diego. . It was a very pleasant and informative visit.
