Hired for snow plowing. Never showed up for the first big snowfall of the year. Showed up 3 days late for the second big snowfall of the year, and only did a small portion of the driveway. I paid extra to have my entire driveway, including front circle, to be plowed each snowfall. Same experience at a relatives house who used them this year.

I have been a customer of Gonzalo Landscaping for over 10 years. We hired him after this entrepreneurial and hardworking businessman made the decision to leave LawnLad to start his own business. They were responsive and demonstrated a commitment to providing high quality service to a collection of loyal clients.Over the years that service commitment referenced above deteriorated as the use of an hourly fee structured led to excessive charges for simple projects and use of lesser skilled labor resulted in poor work quality. The collection of workers we'd come to respect departed and the onset of a labor shortage worsened the situation.Recently, a dispute over the cost of services in 2021, led the company charging my credit card without prior approval for their view of the cost of the work. There was no prearranged fee, just the application of a straight hourly rate, which led to a 50% increase in the charge for the same work over the previous year. With a degradation in quality, a 2x increase in price and a demonstration of poor business values and now a demonstrably lower business ethics, we terminated Gonzalo Landscaping. The work of team was often unsupervised, inefficiently executed and more recently poor in quality so it was a long overdue termination.Most of our neighbors in Shaker Heights who used them at our recommendation have long since fired them. We were one of the remaining holdouts. Consequently, I write this recommendation to create transparency.I can no longer recommend this company.
