Crowne Plaza Columbus North- Worthington, an IHG Hotel

Being in the medical field I always check mattress for bed bugs, to my surprise I didnt find bed bugs but old blood on mattress. Also dirt/trash behind bed, stained dirty carpet, stained bed spread, dirty ironing board, room smelled like urine, rusty fixtures in bathroom and wall paper coming off by shower. Was trying to get a good deal using Priceline express deal rating 8.0 sure will not do that again.

We chose this hotel for the pool, jacuzzi and on site bar. After checking in we put on our swim suits and headed to the pool area however the water was only 68 degrees so there was no way that we could swim also there is no hot tub like the photos show. The front desk said the bar was open until ten so we decided to take a shower before heading down. Unfortunately the shower was colder than the pool! It was horribly cold with no hot water. I called down to the front desk and they sent the maintenance man. He stated they just fixed the boiler and I needed to let the water run 5-10 mins. I told him I already tried that before calling down to the front desk and he said, it isnt that bad No sense in arguing so we went to the on site bar just before 9PM and the bartender said that he was closed early due to no customers and didnt even ask if we wanted a drink to take to our room. We went to the restaurant and asked what time breakfast started and the gentlemen stated 6:30AM. We went to bed, woke up, and took another cold shower before arriving for breakfast at 7:00AM however no one showed up for work until 7:40AM! All of my issues in this review were relaid to both the front desk twice and also the manager. No offer for a discounted rate to our rooms or for our breakfast. Lastly we learned there is nothing within a 25 minute walk to even go to for food and drinks. That whole area is like a ghost town with empty buildings. I recommend avoiding the hassle and head one exit north. Lots of better options within walking distance of the hotels. Walkability: Nothing within 25 mins walking distance. Food & drinks: Food was nicely presented but super oily. I wish I could share my experience with the drinks.. Noteworthy details: Many better options one exit north.
