Excellent Howard 10 covered Bus Stop with places to sit. So if it's raining or windy, you at least can get a little shelter. This covered sheltered bus stop has some decent inexpensive places that are right by if you want a soda or coffee. If you look up & left, you'll see 2nd Street.You'll need to cross the street and head down toward the post office and library to get to the Marathon Gas Station.They have soda and chips and I believe they still make sandwiches. Back a few years ago it was fantastic. Good coffee , great prices and a bunch of beautiful gals.
Right down on Front Street you have the Metro Popcorn .They have $1.50 sodas.
So there's places to get a snack if you want.
There's also the river trails you can walk if you have extra time.
You just head down to the bridge.The trails are right under it.
Also, if everything is closed, try the soda machines in front of the Marathon Oil Gas/Convenient Store. They have Coke and Pepsi products in the machines. There're .50 cents a piece. G&R Auto has a soda machine too that is only $1.25 for 20oz bottles . Cold coke products.It's past Dairy Queen . I would recommend others , but the machines they have outside are known for taking your money and not giving you a soda. That can suck when nothings open and no ones around.
This bus heads downtown.
I figured I would do some mapping reviews for people who ride the bus.I hope it helps someone . It can be tough when its really hot out and you don't know the area, or really cold for that matter.
You can get the schedule and where the bus is by clicking (BUSES) here.It will go right down the streets and show the pick up and stops.You can also track where your bus is by using your smart phone too. See the sign near the telephone pole. There's numbers on it. just plug them in, or do a photo of it.It will show you how long the bus will be.You can also look up the Number 10 Bus and find out when it's coming next.This is a active bus stop, so don't be afraid to ask for help.
