Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dayton South

Room was nice. Staff friendly. But warning. They charge for parking and a separate charge just to use your visa card! I have stayed at over 100 Marriott locations and thus is the first time I had a simple "VISA" charge added to my bill,!

The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Rooms: Room was clean which is a real positive.

When I arrived at the hotel, the room I was first given had a dampness to it and had an odor. I informed the front desk and they sprayed down the room with air freshener. Thinking the smell would go away, we stayed in that room. Things I noticed after we were fully settled in was a lack of attention to detail in the bathroom. There was hair on the bathroom counter and a big chunk in the shower area. The next day we requested to switch rooms. This room did not smell, but still lacked attention to detail in regards to cleanliness. The fitted sheet had a large stain on the side. As well as, there was a receipt by the AC unit from May 7th...I found this receipt on August 16th. Beyond those issues, the staff was very friendly and always accommodating. Additionally, the hotel is in a great location.

Overall a nice Motel. Only complaint was bed needed new mattress.

Very easy to get too off the highway, staff were so nice. Would stay there again. Rooms: I had a king suite and was excellent.
