My son was on the eighth round of anabiotics for an ear infection before they sent him to a specialist. Sent him out for x-rays three times before sending him to a physical therapist. Took him to the other doctor in the office because he was sick. Brought up his knee issue the first time. She told me I had to talk to the other doctor for it. So I had to make another appointment for his knee. I guess taking him to a doctor there isnt good enough. This place absolutely loves to milk insurance. The doctor sent him to an allergy specialist. It came back that he didnt have allergies. She is still saying he has allergies

I could not recommend this office more. When my mother was looking for a pediatrician in the 1970s, she asked around with her friends and local medical professionals. They overwhelmingly said the same thing: Dr. Sorauf and South Dayton Pediatrics. He became the pediatrician for myself and my sisters from the days of our births. Over and over, this office delivered: every bizarre or serious ailment, including life-threatening situations, my siblings threw at them, they caught quickly and handled perfectly. So when I had my first child in 2010, it was a no-brainer: South Dayton Pediatrics. Though we have perfect and healthy children, over the years we've had plenty of interactions with folks at Dayton Children's-- and every single time we talk to any pediatric professional, they rave about Dr. Sorauf and this practice. It seems almost everyone I know who has children there is either a doctor themselves or a parent that was a childhood patient. We know the best and we stick with it. When my daughter was born, we struggled with breastfeeding. The hospital lactation consultant suspected a tongue tie, and Dr. Sorauf came in, the day she was born, checked her, agreed, and revised the tongue tie immediately. As a result, we had an incredibly successful nursing relationship. The lactation consultant confided that many pediatricians are difficult to work with and resistant to tongue and lip tie corrections, and that this practice is known in the lactation world for being very pro-breastfeeding and taking these ties seriously. After decades of experience with this office, there is no practice I would recommend more. The nurses are outstanding, the administrative staff is accommodating, the after-hours 24/7 doctor line is responsive and reassuring, and every single doctor I've seen at South Dayton (which is, I believe, every doctor currently there) has inspired nothing but confidence and trust. I never doubt that my children are in good hands.
