Since we first moved in the handrails on the stairs have been very loose and we have tried to fix them and cant, the maintenance wont fix them either. Then our shower started clogging every other day so they finally came out after two weeks and busted a pipe trying to fix it. We still, 3+ months later, have a hole in the ceiling where they fixed the pipe that still leaks a little every now and again. Now we have no hot water and have given them 3-4 calls about it and they keep saying its fixed, theyll be out the next day, etc. They finally actually came out today and told us that it was a bigger problem than just the hot water heater that itll be a week or two for a excavator to come out. Of course at this point were very upset, so as the landlord is walking away my boyfriend says must be nice to have hot water and she replies with yes it is. We have not been able to take a shower in a week now since the water is entirely to cold to get in and we have to wash our hair over the side of the tub. She hasnt offered any options for us while we wait for it to be fixed. There are empty apartments that they have just redone that she could have offered. On top of it all our shower knob has also been broke since we moved in. We have to turn it completely around 8+ times to get it hot. If youre looking at the pictures and thinking it seems like a great place to live IT IS NOT. They are slum lords simple as that.

My husband and I moved in March 2018. For $525 we didnt mind the little annoyances. Sloppy patches on walls, tape on a phone outlet, stains. Darren was great! Honestly our neighbors were great too (our below neighbors constantly fought but we usually ignored it as much as we could.) The area is SUPER quiet. The corner store is great! We didnt know Darren left until our neighbors below us had their water line break flooding their apartment. They called non emergency because the (former) owners didnt answer. Overall its been ok... but keep in mind these few things before moving in. - theres a field across the road. You will get mice. Something we didnt realize until after we moved in and found various traps. (Also we figured our apartment wasnt inspected after the tenants before us since they still had hooks in the walls and other little items) -water was once included. But with new owners came a higher rent and a fee to have water. Also if youre on any floor other than the basement you will be paying more since youd be on a higher floor. (Weve since moved since they needed all tenants with non remodeled units to leave by July 3rd) - trash is ALWAYS full and overfilled. On our side of the complex we had 4 trash bins for 12 buildings (120 units). So Id take out any trash once Rumke empties the bins at 6am. - As I am writing this weve called to get someone to turn off the water in our tub. The handle is stripped and we cant turn off the water. We called at 1am for emergency maintenance (of which we actually dont have a number it seems since the EMERGENCY line tells you to leave a voicemail if its urgent) We knew what we were paying for in 2018. $525 for about 765 sq ft. Now they are raising rent and we do not want to pay nearly $800 for a 3rd floor unit with no washer or dryer currently (so get ready to haul your laundry to the other buildings) and no dishwasher. My husband and I found a great place in his hometown for less than $800 with 875 sq ft, dishwasher, and bigger bathroom with plugs. (Oh, the bathrooms here dont have plugs so grab an extension cord if you gotta dry your hair). Although it seems pretty nice and the new owners are decent, make sure you REALLY tour the place before signing the lease. They are adding new things like a pool and playground and workout room but theres no ETA of when all it will be done so get ready for construction from 8am to nearly 8pm around the complex.

New owners seem to be trying. I had already planned on moving due to some of the issues here. Previous problems included apartment not clean when I moved in, neighbors noisy, common areas not clean, and bed bugs..... New owners listened to me (and my pictures) and I received my full deposit back. Although it was left cleaner than when I moved in and I had bombed and sprayed for 2 months. Had to throw out almost new bedding and mattress and other items. Hopefully the new owners can make major changes. But as these changes cost money the rent is going up also. You get what you pay for....
