Its been a long road to rebuilding my credit and starting over after divorce. It was difficult to buy a decent car for myself, even more difficult when my teenage daughter also needs a car.
Most big car lots offer:
1. high interest
2. long loan terms
3. High dollar cars (usually new cars only).
For a $24,000 new car, you could end up paying $50,000 with interest and long terms.
The Used Car Center is a buy here/pay here- used cars - short terms. The interest rates are comparable to what the big car lots offered, but the terms are much shorter.
Andif your credit is good enoughhe even lets you make payments toward your down payment. (A very specific time line, which you have to agree/sign). This reduces the financed amount, which reduces your overall interest fees.
